Tendergreen is an heirloom green snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris); a fast-growing, producer of the classic dark green, long stingless pods that are great for eating raw off the plant or lightly streamed or stir-fried. Can be planted late spring through late summer in warmer fall climates; we typically try to keep the plants going for beans on thanksgiving. In colder fall climates, plant earlier in the summer. Harvest frequently for sustained yield. Tendergreen is a bush type, so plants do not require support or trellising.
Snap beans are annual crops that will produce edible pods approximately 50 days from seeding under ideal conditions.
